HUNDREDS of youngsters enjoyed a dinosaur themed trail event at a woodland centre.
Essex Wildlife Trust Belfairs Woodland Centre, Leigh is holding the event throughout August.
The families rushed to the event in the summers son.
The event saw visitors take a self-led trail from Belfairs Woodland Centre and discover all the dinosaur clues.
There were prizes up for grabs.
Alison Askwith, assistant manager at the centre said it was very popular.
She said: "We were taken by surprise by how popular the event was.
"We had 720 children come on Monday August 6, so we were very busy.
"It was lovely as there were so many children enjoying the outdoors and having a good walk in the woods.
"The event also raised money for conservation projects run by the trust.
"The event is running every Monday in August and also on the weekend of August 18 and 19.
"We do have limited parking and that was a bit of an issue, we want people to know that."
