THE community has come together to take part in an annual litter pick.
Organised by the Chelmsford Star Co op store in Hullbridge, residents and staff chose to clean up the local recreational ground and surrounding riverside areas in Pooles Lane, Hullbridge.
Wendy Milbourn, an organiser, said: "We had a great turn out including children who enjoyed using the litter pickers wearing the Hi Vis jackets and eating their free doughnut at the end (cooked at the Co op of course)
"Litter is becoming a world wide problem that needs to be dealt with so we thought this would be a good way to get the message across whilst having fun.
"Thank you and well done to everyone who helped out."
