A knife-wielding thug stole cash, cigarettes and a bottle of whisky in a robbery.
A man entered Leigh News in London Road, Leigh, shortly after 11am yesterday.
He threatened a staff member with a knife and demanded money, before leaving with hundreds of pounds in cash, cigarettes and a bottle of whisky.
Police carried out a search of the area and enquiries are ongoing to find him.
He was described as white, about 6ft tall, aged about 35 to 40 and of stocky build. He wore a black T-shirt and black trousers.
