A charity shop in Braintree has celebrated its first anniversary.
The St Elizabeth shop, in High Street, marked the occasion on September 15 with fashion shows, special offers for customers and a visit from the Gruffalo.
During its first year in business, the Braintree branch has gone from strength to strength, specialising in quirky curiosities and vintage items.
Shop manager Emma Chappell said: "We have enjoyed becoming part of the community and forming relationships with customers and other businesses in the town.
"Thank you to everyone who has donated, volunteered and supported us over the past year – we are looking forward to the year ahead."
The chairman of Braintree Council, Vanessa Santomauro, had a front row seat at one of the many fashion shows which took place on the day, joined by the Gruffalo.
The charity supports more than 240 vulnerable children, young people and adults with epilepsy and other complex medical conditions.
To volunteer, pop into the shop and speak with Emma.
