A PIZZA takeaway business was robbed of cash.

It happened at a Domino’s Pizza in Pitsea on Thursday, October 4.

Police were called shortly after 11pm, with reports that two men had entered the takeaway on Station Lane.

They stole cash and left in the direction of the underpass on Hazelmere.

One man was described by the victims as being, of a slim build and wearing a dark hooded top.

The second man was described by the victims as being, of a slim build and wearing a light grey hooded top, a black hat and jeans.

The first man has been described to us as dark skinned, of medium build, with facial hair and wearing a grey hooded top with a baseball cap, a dark t-shirt, blue jeans and dark-coloured trainers or shoes.

The second man has been described to us as white, of medium build, and wearing a light-coloured hooded top, baseball cap and dark-coloured trousers and white trainers.

Witnesses or anyone who saw men matching this description in the area around the time of the incident are asked to contact Basildon CID on 101, quoting incident 1460 of October 4.
