Man arrested in connection with a raped in Basildon
A man has been arrested in connection with a rape in Basildon.
The victim, who is in her 20s, reported she had been attacked by a man in an alley between Elizabeth Way and Ward Close between 9.30pm and 10.30pm on Friday, October 5.
Specialist officers are continuing to support her.
A 28 year-old man was arrested in Basildon on Tuesday, October 9 on suspicion of rape.
He is currently in custody.
