A car has been completely destroyed after it caught fire.
Fire crews from Rochford rushed to Creeksea Ferry Road to a Peugeot 206 that was 100 per cent alight.
Crews used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.
By the time the crew was able to fully extinguish the blaze, it was completely destroyed.
The Essex Fire and Rescue Service has confirmed the cause of the fire as deliberate.
A spokesman for the fire service said Essex Fire had no further information that could aid in identifying the owner of the destroyed vehicle.
