A man has been left with a dislocated shoulder after being the victim of an unprovoked assault on a train.

At approximately 4.45am on 20 October, the victim, a man in his thirties, was involved in an altercation with several other men on board a train.

The violence then spilled onto the platform at Benfleet Station, where the victim was struck a number of time.

Officers believe the men shown in these CCTV images may have information which could help them investigate.

Detective Sergeant Michael Stephenson, said: “The victim was left with a number of serious injuries as a result of this seemingly unprovoked assault, including a dislocated shoulder, blooded nose and other facial injuries.

“I would be keen to speak with anyone who witnessed what happened or who recognises anyone in the CCTV images. Any information you have might prove vital to our enquiries.”
