Havens Hospices is relying on the good will of Essex businesses this Christmas to help raise £15,000 for the seriously ill children and adults it cares for.

On Thursday December 6, Havens Hospices begins two weeks of festive fundraising with businesses and companies from across Essex. In 2017, corporate supporters helped to raise over £20,545 during the charity’s ‘12 Days of Christmas’ challenge, but the charity is hoping to exceed that this year.

Havens Hospices Corporate Fundraiser, Lydia Plews said: “12 Days of Christmas was such a successful fundraiser last year that we couldn’t wait to do it again. From mince pie bake offs, Christmas jumper days, Santa car washes, or donations in place of Christmas cards and more, we’re really looking forward to two weeks packed full of festive fundraising.”

Raising money for Havens Hospices ’12 Days of Christmas’ can take place on any day between Thursday 6th and Friday 21st December, or with a fundraising activity for each day.

Lydia added, “A bit of fundraising, especially in the lead up to Christmas, is fantastic for engaging and motivating staff in a fun way. The adults, young adults and children we care for at Havens Hospices have an illness which could shorten their life so it’s important that we make Christmas time as special for them as we possibly can, but we can’t do it alone. I hope lots of businesses across Essex will help us to be there for those who need us most this Christmas.”
