A COMMUNITY club held an event to mark its 50th anniversary.
Members of the Mums Night Club joined together to mark half a century since the club started.
The special lunch was held at the Rayleigh Club and a good time was had by all.
The event was attended by the club's 50 members.
The club was created in October 1968 by Joyce Kipling who set it up to give young mums a club to attend weekly.
The founder was unable to attend the event due to ill health.
The club meets on Thursdays at The Eastwood Baptist Church, corner of Nobles Green Road and Rayleigh Road, Eastwood at 7.30pm.

The celebration event was held on October 3.
