EAST Thurrock United will be looking to climb towards the National League South safety positions when they head to Weston-super-Mare tonight.

Rocks currently sit in 21st place, with Weston the only side with a worse points tally so far this term.

The original clash was postponed with players unable to reach the Woodspring Stadium due to a road traffic accident.

And a lot is riding on the encounter for both sides.

Three points would allow Weston to claim their second win of the campaign and leapfrog John Coventry’s East Thurrock in the standings.

However, Rocks are searching for their first away success of the season and a victory would see them move to within two points of safety.

Meanwhile, Hullbridge Sports will head to fellow Essex Senior League high-flyers Stansted in the Gordon Brasted Memorial Trophy.

Darren Manning’s Sports are currently one point clear of their hosts in the Essex Senior League thanks to their win at St Margaretsbury on Saturday.

Stansted will be looking to bounce back from their 3-2 defeat to Tower Hamlets, which saw them relinquish top spot.
