PLANS for 40 flats at a former pub site on Canvey have been approved by the council.
Castle Point Council's development committee gave the green light for plans to convert the Admiral Jellicoe pub into 40 homes and added shops.
During the meeting, Tory councillor Chas Mumford said he thinks it's a good design for the site.
Speaking at the meeting, Canvey Independent councillor Dave Blackwell said he doesn't think they want more flats on Canvey.
