SOUTHEND United defender Harry Lennon is ready to resume running this week.
Lennon has been out since late October with the broken leg he suffered against Walsall.
But the 23-year-old is hoping to be ready for a first team return in mid-January.
“It’s all going positively and I should be back running by the end of the week which is good news,” said Lennon.
“I hope to be back playing in mid-January but we won’t take any risks.”
However, Lennon cannot wait to be back in action.
“It’s obviously been frustrating but I’ve got my head round it now,” said the summer signing.
“The other lads in the treatment room have also been a big help and have been really supportive towards me.”
Lennon also suffered a broken toe at the start of the season.
