A SERIAL bomb hoaxer has been jailed for more than two years after falsely claiming a device was set to explode at Wickford train station.
Michelle Sparrow was sentenced to 32 months in jail at Basildon Crown Court this morning.
The 43-year-old, of Wethersfield Way, in Wickford, admitted making the bomb threat, on August 28.
Sparrow has nine previous convictions for the same charge, including one attempt at Colchester North Station, in April 2016.
During that attempt, she called police - using her own mobile phone - to tell them she had primed explosives ready to blow up in the station toilets.
She claimed the explosive was a mixture of gunpowder and fuses and a medium size.
