Paramedics were called to a crash after reports a biker was hit by a car.

The crash blocked Ashingdon Road in Rochford in both directions near the Jet petrol station at about 11am today. 

Reports suggested the biker was injured but the ambulance service said nobody required treatment.

Police and paramedics were called to the scene.

A spokesman for the East of England Ambualce said: "We were called at 9.32am with reports of a collision in Ashingdon Road, Rochford.

"We sent one ambulance, but no-one required hospital treatment."
