STUDENTS from a Basildon school made their way to the O2 Arena to perform at the Young Voices concert, alongside some special musical guests.

The Northlands Primary School choir performed at venue, as part of the Young Voices Choir.

The choir provided back up vocals for musical stars, including Sharlene Hector, from Basement Jaxx, Beau Dermott, from Britain's Got Talent, and Tony Hadley, from Spandau Ballet.

After rehearsing all afternoon, the children then took part in a final performance, singing a range of songs including Any Dream Will Do, as well as a pop medley, a Moana mash up and the songs from the Greatest Showman for the finale.

Northlands Primary School was one of the many different schools who are part of the 8,868-strong Young Voices Choir.

Echo:

Rachel Bugg, teacher from Northlands Primary School, accompanied the children to the concert on February 5.

She said: "The children did themselves and Northlands really proud and, although we are a relatively small choir, our voices were a vital part in making such a beautiful sounding choir that filled the O2 with magic.

Echo:

"It was great for the children to see what can be achieved if you work hard at your dreams, as Beau Dermott herself had been a part of the Young Voices choir when she was at primary school.

"The children were enthusiastic and enigmatic performers all day and a thoroughly enjoyable time was had by all the choir as well as by the teachers who accompanied them."
