A YOUNG man with autism was threatened with a knife on a c2c train in Southend after he was approached to buy drugs.

The man, who had just been on a day out with his girlfriend, had earlier posted a picture of some roses, which he had planned to give her for Valentines Day.

On the train back to Grays Station, he was approached by someone asking if he had any "weed".

He said when he replied 'no', he was threatened, with the thug saying he would stab him.

Terrified, the young man took to the C2C customers Facebook Group for help.

Fellow users came to his rescue, replying to his post, telling him to stay calm, move and report the incident.

One member even phoned C2C and arranged for a member of staff to meet him when he arrived at Grays Station.

C2C staff then helped calm him down, giving him somewhere to sit and have a drink. They helped report the incident to the police.

The young man shared: "My autism make me shake a lot when I get threatened and sometimes I get bad thoughts in my mind.

"My great day is almost ruined from this."

C2C and the British Transport Police have been contacted for comment.
