A FIRE broke out in a basement of an office block.
Crews were called to Eagle Way, Warley, near Brentwood, at 7.44am this morning where reports had been made the basement was full of smoke.
A spokesman for Essex Fire Service said: "Firefighters were called to a fire in the basement of a six storey office block.
"When fire crews arrived they reported the large basement area was filled with smoke.
"Fire crews wearing breathing apparatus entered the basement and used dry powder extinguishers to put the fire out."
The cause of the fire was found to be some electric cables in the ceiling.
