Closed - the bowling alley at the Kursaal
A BOWLING alley at an iconic seafront venue has closed.
MFA Bowling based at The Kursaal, Southend seafront put up a sign about the closure today.
The sign says: "This site is now closed for business. We would like to thank our customers for all their support and apologise for any inconvenience this closure may cause."
It has been met with speculation with concern from councillors and residents.
Matt Dent, Labour councillor for Kursaal ward said this is not good for the town.
He said: "It really does tell a worrying tale.
"This is an iconic symbol of Southend."
The Echo contacted MFA Bowling for comment.
