TREES have collapsed in Westcliff as extreme winds continue to sweep the county.
A huge tree has collapsed in Westbourne Grove, Westcliff onto two cars that were parked on the side of the road.
The cars have been damaged but thankfully no one was seriously hurt.
It has completely blocked the one-way road, with motorists having to turn around, and it is shut between Prince Avenue and Carlton Avenue.

Brian Fowle, who lives on the road, said crews had arrived to try and clear the tree.
Another tree has fallen in Thorpe Hall Avenue, with Southend's transport and highways team encouraging road users to drive safely.
