A former industrial worker died after being exposed to asbestos, his inquest has ruled.
Alfred Hitching, 93, of Rosbach Road, Canvey was found unresponsive at home on January 22.
His medical history showed he worked in London factories and with asbestos throughout his career.
Essex Police confirmed there were no suspicious circumstances around the death.
A post-mortem examination gave a cause of death of bronchitis, pneumonia and asbestos.
Senior Coroner Caroline Beasley-Murray recorded he died of industrial disease and asbestos.
