MULTIPLE cars were broken into within one night, including several that were left unlocked.
Castle Point and Rochford's Local Policing Team are investigating after ten vehicles in Rayleigh and Benfleet were stolen from within one night.
The police have stated that a number of these vehicles were left insecure and reminded residents to ensure their cars are locked overnight.
A spokesman said: "We have received reports of ten theft from motor vehicles overnight, predominantly in the Rayleigh and Benfleet area. A number of these vehicles were insecure.
"Residents are reminded to lock their vehicles and remove any items of value, activate alarms and where possible ensure any CCTV captures where the vehicles are parked."
