LOW fare airline Ryanair is set to launch its new partnership with Southend Airport today.
The Dublin-based firm will open its new base at the airport this morning.
Three planes will offer more than 60 weekly flights to 13 routes in eight European countries.
Among the new destinations are:
- Dublin
- Alicante
- Kosice, in Slovakia
- Copenhagen
- Barcelona Reus
- Bilbao
- Brest
- Corfu
- Faro
- Malaga
- Milan Bergamo
- Palma
- Venice
In total, the firm has made a $300 million investment in Southend Airport, which will create 750 on-site jobs.
It is hoped the investment will bring in at least one million extra passengers through the airport in the first year.
The partnership will be launched today, with Stobart Group CEO Warwick Brady, Glyn Jones, CEO Stobart Aviation (owners of London Southend Airport) and Chiara Ravara, Ryanair Head of Sales and Marketing.
