A MAN was still being questioned last night as a woman aged in her 90s died after being hit by a motorbike.
The woman was struck in London Road, Leigh, at about 4.50pm yesterday.

Despite paramedics' best efforts, she died at the scene.
The motorbike rider, a 23 year-old man, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving while unfit through drink or drugs.
Detectives are appealing for anyone who saw or heard anything or who has dash cam footage of the incident.

Eyewitnesses, including the owners of The Fish Inn, reported hearing a loud screech of tyres while further eyewitnesses reported seeing the woman being given emergency treatment.
Pictures from the scene show paramedics treating the patient in the road. Several emergency service vehicles were on the scene, including an air ambulance.
