Firefighters were called to an arson attack on a portable cabin.
The crews were to the incident in St Johns Road, Chadwell St Mary at 4.20pm yesterday.
Fire Control 999 call takers received a number of calls to a fire in a portable cabin alight in Chadwell St Mary.
When fire crews arrived they reported the building, which measured approximately five square metres, was 50 per cent alight.
Firefighters extinguished the fire by 4.50pm.
A spokesman for Essex Fire Service said: "We believe this fire was caused deliberately."
