A MAN has been arrested in Pitsea on suspicion of a "high value" theft.
British Transport Police were conducting patrols along the Grays loop line of c2c Rail on Thursday night when they made the arrest at Pitsea Railway Station.
The man was detained in relation to a high value theft.
He has been remanded in custody and is awaiting interview.
British Transport Police tweeted last night: "Lots of Policing activity taking place along c2c Rail tonight, with officers focusing patrols on the Grays loop line.
"One male has already been arrested at Pitsea Station in connection with a high value theft and is currently awaiting interview at Basildon custody."
