A TEENAGER has been charged after a commando knife was seized on a train.
Tyrik Minley, 18, has been charged with one count of possessing an offensive weapon.
The charge relates to a stop and search made by officers on board a c2c Rail service from Southend to Barking on Friday.
Police arrested a man after discovering he was carrying a commando knife. The man was also carrying two mobile phones and more than £500 in cash, which were seized.
Minley, of Chalfont Road, London, will appear at Basildon Magistrate's Court on May 5.
