A CAR appears to have crashed into a set of traffic lights at a crossing on a main road this afternoon.
The picture shows a grey Vauxhall Corsa had mounted the crossing and caused damage to the traffic lights, at London Road, in Westcliff.
Luckily, no one was hurt, including the driver but it is not yet known what caused the crash.
The busy crossing opposite Chalkwell Park, is used regularly for those crossing to and from the park and the junction of Southbourne Grove.
Chalkwell Schools is also close-by, resulting in the area becoming very busy during school-run hours.
Fire crews were on the scene.
The ambulance service confirmed they were called but did not need to attend.
