A TEENAGER has admitted saying he wanted to rape a 13-year-old girl on Instagram along with a string of sex offences.

Mohammad Keerpah, 18, of no fixed address, appeared at Basildon Crown Court on Thursday where he admitted six child sex offences which took place on March 2 and 3 this year in Grays.

Keerpah was accompanied by a translator, and spoke only to confirm his name and enter his guilty pleas.

The charges include three counts of forcing two different girls, aged 12 and 13, to watch a moving image of him performing a sexual act.

He also admitted two counts of sexual communication with the two girls, admitting that he knew they were under 16 but still tried to engage in a sexual conversation with them.

The sixth count was for Keerpah meeting the 13-year-old girl following sexual grooming on March 3 this year. On this occasion, Keerpah had messaged the girl on Instagram and stated that he wanted to rape her, knowing that she was under age.

Keerpah was dressed in a blue tracksuit, and showed little emotion during the hearing, apart from one occasion where he could be seen giggling when his translator spoke to him.

Mitigation for Keerpah said there was no basis of plea and that he admitted all charges unreservedly.

The sentencing has been adjourned until June to allow for a pre-sentencing report to be drawn up.

Addressing Keerpah, Judge John Lodge said he had admitted "very serious offences" and said he would remain behind bars until his sentence.

He said: "Mr Keerpah, you have plead guilty to a very serious set of matters.

"I do not want to sentence you until a report can be produced for the details of the crimes, and your attitudes towards them.

"Your sentencing will take place on June 10 and in the mean time you will be remanded in custody."

Keerpah will be sentenced at the same court in just under a month.

There is a potential that he could face a lengthy prison sentence.
