BUDGET supermarket chain Lidl has submitted a plans for its new store on a former Garrison estate.
The plans for a new supermarket, off Campfield Road, in Shoebury, will create up to 40 new jobs.
The store will also feature facilities such as an in-store bakery, customer toilets and ample parking for both cars and bicycles.
Andrew Hodgkinson, Lidl regional head of property, said: “We are delighted to announce that we have submitted a planning application with Southend Council.
“If granted this would mark a multi-million pound investment in the area, and the creation of new jobs when the store opens.
“We would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone for their support.”
