POLICE officers who are part of a special taskforce to fight violent crime in Essex have shared chilling images of what they found while on patrol.
Southend's Operational Support Group was on Operation Sceptre patrols across the town.
Haul - an axe, a hammer, a crowbar and a knife were all recovered
One image shared on the group's Facebook page shows a number of items which were seized after officers located two "high risk" missing people.
It shows a knife, two balaclavas, another weapon and what appears to be drugs and a weighing scale.
A second haul was discovered after officers boxed in a car in Southend.
A picture from the scene shows an axe, a hammer and a knife were all recovered.
Two people have been arrested on suspicion of drug offences.
