TWO friends have raised more than £1,000 thanks to a 62-mile bike ride around the streets of London.
Caroline Walker, 43, and Tracey Macdonald, 47, from Witham, saddled up for the Ride the Night event which took place in the capital on Saturday.
The duo did the course in eight hours and the pair have already signed up to take part in the cancer charity fundraiser again next year.
Caroline (pictured, above right) said: “It wasn’t too bad until I think the last ten miles as it seemed to go on for ever, and because the roads were quiet by then you kind of felt that you were on your own.
“We have both signed up for next year so we are either mad or stupid.”
