ST John’s Church, Ben Rhydding, is holding an Animal Blessing Service on Sunday, June 16 at 2pm.
All pets are welcome to bring their families along. There will also be blessings for both farmed and wild animals.
Last year’s animal blessing service was well attended by members of the church and the local community.
There were eight dogs, three guinea pigs and a hamster present for the service, together with representations of cats and dogs - unable to be present - by their companion human, and by picture. Each was blessed and given thanks for.
The service also included thanks and prayers for all who spend their lives giving excellent care to animals in their everyday work, including farmers, veterinarian services and protection agencies.
