GARDENS across Maldon and Witham will open for Father’s Day as part of the National Garden Scheme.
The events will be raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie, Hospice UK and the Queen’s Nursing Institute.
David Cox, whose garden at Elwy Lodge in Woodham Walter is opening, said: “We’ve had many families visit in previous years to enjoy all the interesting features including herbaceous borders, roses, wildlife pond, vegetable beds and fruit trees.”
As well as Mr Cox’s garden, 1 Whitehouse Cottages in Woodham Walter and Miraflores in Witham will also be opening on Sunday, June 16. Admission is £5 for Elwy Lodge between 10.30am and 5pm. Entry is £3.50 for Whitehouse Cottages and Miraflores.
Whitehouse Cottages opens from 10.30am until 5pm and Miraflores will open from 2pm until 5pm.
