A MAN was robbed of £80 during an attack in broad daylight in Braintree.

Essex Police is asking for information after the man in his 30s was attacked by two men while walking along a footpath at the back of Waterside Place, near Station Approach.

He was approached from the behind by the men, assaulted, and robbed of the cash and his wallet.

The attackers then made off in the direction of the car park on Station Approach. Officers searched the area but couldn't find the men.

It happened at around 12.45pm on Saturday, May 11.

The first man was described as being white and of heavier build. It is believed that is between 5ft 9ins and 5ft 11ins tall. He wore a burgundy hooded jumper.

The second man was also white, of slim build, and around 6ft 1ins tall. He wore all black.
