A GRANT of £12,650 was awarded to Harp by the Morrisons Foundation.
Harp a Southend homeless charity, received the grant after putting in an application for it, and as a result of the fantastic donation, will put it towards improving refrigeration at their day centre.
Funds will also go towards improving Harp’s food service, by providing more meals, to enable even more local people who may be homeless or at risk of homelessness.
Dean Massey, Harp’s catering coordinator, said: “We were thrilled to be awarded this amazing donation from the Morrinsons Foundation to improve our food storage at Harp. This will mean we’re able to provide more nutritious meals using fresh ingredients, and will enable even more local people to take their first step towards overcoming homelessness.”
