A CRUISE show sailed in to showcase the best the industry has to officer.

ROL Cruise, based in Colchester, launched the Official World Cruise Show on Wednesday at Braxted Park Estate.

Presentations were held throughout the day for those who wish to learn more about world cruising.

Guest speaker Kaye Holland, a travel editor at The Telegraph shared her impartial insider insights to world travel as part of a question and answer panel with Michelle Tingley from Fred Olsen and Ed Lang from Regent Seven Seas.

Sarah Wikevand, of ROL Cruise, said: "Circumnavigating the globe is considered one of the world’s ultimate travel experiences and something many people aspire to achieve.

"It has however become far more accessible and there is a world cruise available to suit all tastes, desires and budgets – as such, we are seeing the popularity for world cruising growing every year.

"We felt that by bringing together the major cruise lines in one place, visitors could see for themselves the huge variety of itineraries, ships and packages available for those wishing to travel on a voyage of a lifetime around the world.

"We received much positive feedback on the event and now look forward to hosting our Official ROL Cruise Show in August, which will focus on every type of cruising – from ocean and rivers, to expedition and world voyages."
