Rising stars: Clacton's juniors competed for the Sandie Rudkin Cup.
CLACTON Golf Club's talented juniors competed for the Sandie Rudkin Cup.
Samuel Bruce carded a fine 42 points in the stableford event with Harrison Dove second, on countback from James Wright, both on 39 points.
Clacton's ladies' competition was Medal Four, combined with the LGU brooch.
Denise Pink came first with an under-handicap fine nett 68.
She was followed by Hoone Locke, second with 72, and Angela Barratt, third with 75.
The ladies and senior men combined to play in the annual Cripps Trophy pairs competition and the team of Angela Barratt and Bob Baggelly won with 38 points.
It was a very sociable and enjoyable day, with a donation being made to the lady captain's charity - Children's Cancer Research.
