A pedestrian has been flown to hospital with potentially life-changing injuries following a road collision in Westcliff.
It is believed the pedestrian, a man in his 50s, was in collision with a car as he crossed London Road shortly before 7.30pm today (Monday 8 July).
He has been flown to hospital for treatment on multiple injuries which are being described as life-changing.
The road was closed in both directions between Chalkwell Avenue/Southbourne Grove and Leigh Road.
Police say there is likely to be disruption for anyone in the area.
No arrests have been made.
