A man has been charged with ten offences after a woman was seriously injured in a collision in Southend last November.
It follows a crash involving a Ford Fiesta near Leigh Road on the A13 at 1.15am on Tuesday November 27, 2018.
A woman inside the car suffered serious injuries including a broken pelvis.
Leon Turner, 20, of no fixed address, has been charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving, drug-driving, failing to stop at the scene of a collision, failing to report a collision, failing to stop for police, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence, driving without insurance, failing to give driver details, possession of cocaine and possession of cannabis.
He is due to appear at Southend Magistrates’ Court on Monday August 19.
