ROBBERS armed with a knife threatened post office staff for cash in a terrifying raid.

Two men with blades went into the Magdalen Green Post Office in Old Road, Clacton at 2pm on Thursday.

The men, who were both white, got away with money.

One of the men has been described as being aged in his 30s, wore a beanie hat with red writing on and grey jogging bottoms with writing down the left leg.

He also wore Adidas trainers and was described as being stocky.

The second man has been described as being slimmer and taller and wore black shoes with red laces and had facial hair.

Det Con Hollie Hughes, of Clacton CID, appealed for people and motorists who were there to get in touch as soon as possible.

She said: “These men walked into a community post office in the middle of the day and threatened members of staff with knife.

“Fortunately, no one was hurt but they were all shaken by the ordeal.

“We believe a number of people and motorists in the area may have seen the men within the vicinity of the post office before and after the incident.
