AN annual festival originally started in memory of a gifted musician who was sadly killed in a car crash will return to beautiful surroundings in Sible Hedingham next month.

CozFest was founded following the tragic death of Coz Powell, 21, and his friend James Simmons, 18, who were killed after being ploughed into by a driver high on drink and drugs five years ago.

After a successful event last year, which took place on a plot of land the talented singer and guitar player’s parents purchased in his honour, the family-friendly music festival is now set to return in a bid to continue Coz’s legacy.

CozFest, which is endorsed by Welsh metal heads Bullet For My Valentine, will unsurprisingly feature enthralling live music performances, and a collection of interesting stalls, beer tents and a gin and prosecco bar.

It will also include exciting and quirky attractions such as a petting zoo, live owls, bungee trampolines and a blood-pumping assault course.

Like last year, the celebratory gathering will take place on a stunning piece of land situated between Halstead and Sible Hedingham called the Foxborough Hills.

It was acquired by Coz’s parent Jennie and Ant for £50,000 after fundraising efforts and will be continually for events used as a nod to Coz’s love of live music and performance.

CozFest 2019 takes place on September 7 from 1-11pm on Halstead Road.

General tickets cost £8, silver heart holders can grab tickets for £4 and under-16s can enter for free.
