TWO crashes have taken place in Basildon in the past hour.
Reports online state a child was hit by a car near Stacey's Corner on Long Riding, Basildon at approximately 3.15pm.
There was also an incident in East Mayne involving another child.
The incident on Long Riding saw a young child collide with a car at a slow speed with the child suffering a minor foot injury.
An Essex Police spokesman said: "We were called at around 3.15pm today, Thursday 12 September, with reports that a cyclist and a van were in collision in Eastmayne, Basildon.
"The cyclist, a 10-year-old boy, was taken to hospital for precautionary checks after he fell from his bike.
"The driver of the van assisted us with our enquiries."
