Itison have revealed the first part of their Christmas spectacular - that will transform Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum into a winter wonderland.

A hefty £1 million has been invested into 'Elfingrove' - with Glasgow eagerly anticipating what is in store this December.

And there won't be much longer to wait - with itison teasing out new parts to the journey over the coming days.

The first part, they have revealed today, is "A Night at the Museum meets GlasGLOW".

Organisers say: "Elfingrove invites you to discover one of Glasgow’s best loved buildings in a whole new light as you tour the museum, all brought to life with state-of-the-art projection, sound, lighting and a large dose of elf dust to create the most magical Christmas journey ever to be experienced.

"Animals prowl and roar, ancient warriors battle, The Glasgow Boys banter as paintings and statues take on a life of their own, and as for the Spitfire…"

itison are also behind the much-loved Botanic Gardens event GlasGLOW, so it's hard to imagine this will be anything but a success.

Two further elements to Elfingrove will be released over the coming days, giving the public more insight into what to expect with the museum transformation.
