A teenager was caught with a weapon designed to spray a noxious liquid, on a train in Benfleet.
The British Transport Police arrested an 18 year old on suspicion of carrying an offensive weapon, after officers carried out a stop and search aboard the c2c train.
Following a guilty court verdict, the man received a £190 fine, a 7pm-7am curfew, and was also ordered to attend a 19 day rehabilitation programme.
