Three teens up in court for string of robberies
THREE teenagers are due to appear in court later this month to face charges in connection with two robberies in Benfleet.
A man in his 20s had his wallet and cash stolen, and was assaulted, in London Road at around 1am on December 22 last year.
About 45 minutes later, a 19 year-old man reported being threatened with a knife and had money stolen in the same area.
Two 17 year-old boys have been summonsed to appear at Basildon Youth Court on October 15 where they will face two counts of robbery.
A third 17 year-old boy has been summonsed to appear at Basildon Magistrates’ Court on October 29 where he will face the same charges.
