A MAN has been rushed to hospital after he was hit by a bus by Basildon train station.
Two police cars, an ambulance and an air ambulance were at the scene of the incident which took place this morning.
A spokesman for Essex Police, said: "We were called to reports of a collision near to the Beehive Pub on Southernhay shortly after 9am this morning, Wednesday, October 9.
"It was reported that a pedestrian and a bus had been involved in a collision.
"The pedestrian, a man in his 20s, has been taken to hospital. The extent of his injuries are unknown at this time.
"No arrests have been made and our enquiries are ongoing.
"Anyone with information or dashcam footage is asked to call 101 and quote incident 237 of 9 October."
A spokesman for the ambulance service, said: "We were called to Southernhay in Basildon shortly before 9am today to reports of a collision. "We sent an ambulance and the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance.
"Crews treated a male patient at the scene before transporting him by road to Basildon and Thurrock Hospital for further assessment and care."
