POLICE are looking for witnesses after a Jaguar was stolen and driven off.
The black Jaguar XF-R was taken from a driveway in Barnstaple Road, Thorpe Bay, at 8.30pm on October 16.
It was driven at high speed along the London-bound side of the A127.
Police chased the car.
A police spokesman said: "The Jaguar left the road and collided with a tree about half a mile before the Noak Bridge junction at 8.45pm.
"The driver ran off and an extensive search was carried out. Enquiries are ongoing to find him.
"We are keen to speak to any drivers who saw the Jaguar at any point between Barnstaple Road and Noak Bridge, particularly to any who have dash cam footage.
"We’d also like to speak to anyone who saw the driver leaving the scene, or has any information that can help identify him."
He was described as wearing a dark grey tracksuit.
