STANWAY ROVERS and FC CLACTON have discovered their next FA Vase opponents.

Both featured in Monday's third-round draw at Wembley Stadium after winning their respective ties on Saturday.

Stanway will cross the Suffolk border and make the short trip to Thurlow Nunn League premier division side Woodbridge Town.

Rovers are third in the table and their opponents fourth, just one point behind.

Danny Slatter's side booked their place in the third round thanks to a 3-1 victory at Deeping Rangers on Saturday.

The Woodpeckers, meanwhile, are through to this stage for the first time since 1999 after booking their spot with an impressive 5-2 victory at home to Godmanchester Rovers.

A tight, hard-fought game will therefore be expected when the pair meet at Notcutts Park on Saturday, November 30.

Clacton, meanwhile, have been rewarded for their 4-3 victory at Saffron Walden Town with a home tie against Cambridgeshire side Eynesbury Rovers.

Their opponents play in the Spartan South Midlands League.

They are tenth in the premier division and made Vase progress in emphatic style at the weekend, winning 6-1 at Milton Keynes Robins.

The third round of the Vase features the last remaining 64 teams.

There are fourth and fifth rounds before the quarter-finals in late-February.

The third-round prize pot will see the winners banking £1,125 and the losers £375.
