A CHRISTMAS craft fair was held in Westcliff over the weekend.

The Cliffs Pavilion held the fair on Saturday and Sunday, and saw more than 1,500 people turn out to see a variety of stalls.

The fair was organised by Louise’s Events, owned by Louise Dallow.

For the past three years the company has been organising craft fairs at the venue, and this weekend was the first time they hosted a festive themed event.

Dozens of stalls were set up selling homemade produce, food, drink, and hand crafted gifts and other items.

Louise, as well as organising many events, makes a range of items, from bunting to knitted items and she produces acrylic painted flower pots and ceramic ornaments.

The event was organised to support all Southend and south Essex based handmade crafts businesses, with more than 40 stalls selling goods each day.

Stalls included handmade jams, spreads, bags, shampoos, fudge, cards, paintings, candles, artwork and freshly cooked savoury and sweet food.
